Membership Review

How it works

Membership Review verifies that each membership is used on the right vehicle. It works with the cameras your wash already has, whatever the brand. Your recorder (NVR) keeps the video; Membership Review does not watch it. Your membership feed says when a car is at the pay station, and Membership Review only needs the few frames around each scan. No GPU is needed anywhere.

How a scan is checked

At each membership scan, Membership Review captures the vehicle and identifies it: make, model, color and body type, plus the license plate when it can be read. It then matches that against two things: the vehicle the member registered, and the vehicle that member has actually been seen driving on earlier visits.

The camera sees a white Kia Rio and the account says white Kia Rio: that is a match, even at night when the plate cannot be read. Most decisions are made from the vehicle itself; plate reading is one input, not the whole check.

Over time it learns your own members' vehicles from your wash's confirmed visits. That learning is your data and is used only for your wash.

Four ways to connect your cameras

A small tunnel router Recommended default

A pre-configured router (about $40) plugs into your network. It opens an outbound, encrypted tunnel to your own account in our cloud only, and reaches only your NVR. At each membership scan the cloud fetches three to five frames from that moment.

What it gives

Evidence from the moment of each scan. Nothing to set up on the NVR beyond a read-only user. If your internet drops, the NVR's own recording is the buffer: scans from the outage are fetched when the link returns.

Limits

No feed of every vehicle unless your NVR also pushes snapshots (next option). Vehicles are identified in the cloud, so during an outage that is delayed, not lost. It is one more device to plug in.

Nothing on site

Your NVR or cameras push a snapshot to your own secure endpoint each time they detect a vehicle. Many recorders can already do this.

What it gives

Every vehicle captured and identified in the cloud (make, model, color, and plate when readable).

Limits

The cloud cannot reach in to ask for a frame, so each scan is matched to the nearest pushed snapshot. Some older recorders push on any motion and need per-model tuning. Uploads use SFTP or HTTPS only, never plain FTP.

Your cloud camera platform

If your cameras already run on a cloud camera platform, Membership Review connects to it through that platform's own API.

What it gives

Nothing on site at all.

Limits

It depends on your platform offering an API and terms that allow it, and each platform needs its own connector. Ask us about yours.

An edge box

A small computer at the wash, connected to your cameras.

What it gives

Every vehicle captured, vehicles identified on site so checks keep working when the internet is down, and room for many cameras. The usual choice for six or more cameras.

Limits

There is hardware to buy and an install session.

Router and edge-box prices are on the pricing page.

Connecting your membership provider

A person decides every verdict

Membership Review assists your staff; it does not make decisions about your members. It flags likely misuse and puts the photos and visit history in front of a person at your wash, who reviews it before any warning or cancellation and decides. When you act, the evidence it prepares is factual, for example "this membership on three visits with a different vehicle, photos attached", never a label such as "fraud". It prepares the evidence and the text; it does not file anything with your provider for you.

It identifies vehicles only. It never recognizes people or faces, and never builds face templates or any other biometric identifier.
